The Museum is a Registered Charity which receives no official support and relies on its Members, fundraisers and benefactors to provide the financial support for its restoration, conservation and display activities.

The installation of interpretative, audio-visual and interactive facilities for visitors and major restoration work on the 1890 Four-Light “Garden-Seat” Horse-Bus, 1923 NS174, 1931 AEC Regal T357, 1936 AEC Regal T448 and "roofbox" RT2657 are among the ongoing projects.
