In the year in which the world remembered the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, it was appropriate that the Museum put two memorial plaques on display which were donated in 2013.

Both plaques record the Associated Equipment Company’s (AEC) staff that died in the two world wars. (click on the images to see details)

The Rev Simon Douglas Lane performed a service of dedication and remembrance on Sunday 3rd August in the presence of Stewards and Volunteers, some of whom came to the museum especially for the service.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

For visitors wishing to see the plaques,

they are located behind the War Hall.
