It talks about strikes on the Underground and buses, including the damaging six-week bus strike in 1958 and the reasons for it. We learn more about LT’s recruitment of staff from the Caribbean, as well as the treatment of women in the industry. Whatever side of the political fence you sit on, this is a thoroughly recommended read.
