Although it won’t be on display for the time being, Members may be interested to know that RF19, one of the ‘sightseeing’ RFs, has been placed on loan to the Museum by its private owner. Some of you may remember that this is the coach which was owned for many years by our President, Colin Curtis. One of these early, short RFs with the rooflights has been on the Museum’s acquisition target list for some time and we have therefore been pleased to accept the owner’s loan offer.

The coach has had a lot of mechanical work done recently and is in good fettle in that department but requires work on the body, both internally and externally. It won’t be possible, therefore, to put it on display yet but we will discuss with the owner how it can be brought up to scratch as soon as possible.
