On Sunday 24 June, the Museum will host a very special event: A Midsummer Celebration of the Great British Bus with a display of up to 100 wonderful old buses from all over the UK, heritage bus rides, open-top bus rides on site, children’s attractions, an open day in the Museum with a large collectors’ market plus music from Transport of Delight who will play songs from Flanders & Swann and others.
Author Brian Watson will be signing copies of his book “Black Jacks, Fruit Salads, Cricket Stumps on the Wall”, a nostalgic look at growing up in 1950s south London and there will be a barbecue to add to the midsummer flavour. All the attractions of Brooklands Museum will be included as well.
Come and spend a wonderful, nostalgic day out with us, experiencing the sights and sounds of transport of yesteryear. The doors open at 9.30 and full details of the event are here, or you can click on the events tab above.
